Picnic on the Park is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to organize and sponsor a yearly Easter event, fostering community spirit, business involvement, and generating awareness of local charitable organizations.  The proceeds from the event are donated to the Village Learning and Achievement Center , whose mission is to provide programs and services to children and adults with disabilities.

In 2004, the inaugural year, the event was attended by over 1,200 people and with over 80 businesses contributing.  Growing each year, in 2006 over 6,000 people enjoyed the event.
