About Picnic on the Park
Kingwood’s Easter tradition of Picnic on the Park began in 2004, encouraging families and friends to come together and enjoy a day at the park.
Since the inaugural year, the event has grown in attendance to over
6,000 with families planning their Easter weekend around the
festivities. Twenty thousand Easter eggs are filled in preparation for
the free Easter Egg Hunt. Over 100 vendors, crafters, game booths, and sponsors fill the park to satisfy the interest of the teeming crowds.
In 2005, Picnic on the Park was incorporated as a nonprofit organization with a 501(c)3 status. In 2006, a Ladies Luncheon and Easter Bonnet Contest
was added as a kick-off to the festivities. Picnic on the Park is made
possible by donations and sponsorships from area businesses as well as
the tireless efforts of a volunteer committee.
Event Marketing Benefits
The Picnic on the Park events are a prime
marketing opportunity for several types of businesses. In a city known
for its highly mobile population with Fortune 500 and international
companies regularly transferring employees in and out, it is a way for
local companies to capture the attention of new residents looking to
forge new relationships.
Events
such as Picnic on the Park are excellent ways for national companies to
strengthen relationships with existing customers, test new products,
and expand awareness of their offerings to an affluent and
discriminating clientele.
Sponsorship Opportunities
There are a number of opportunities to
promote your business at the Picnic on the Park events. From Festival
sponsorships to raffle donations, from program ads to Luncheon table
sponsorships, a package can be tailored to showcase the unique
offerings of your company.
